Why units load up here
Powder from hair products and vapours from nail solutions reach the evaporator fins and form a layer there that is harder to clean than ordinary dust. In spas and steam treatment rooms, permanent humidity keeps the evaporator wet all the time.
The recommended schedule
Three interventions a year, with filters washed monthly. In manicure and pedicure areas, where solution vapours are concentrated, we recommend a check every two months and mechanical ventilation separate from the air conditioning.

The specific risk: combined smells. The unit holds the salon's smells and releases them at start-up, and clients perceive that as an unclean salon rather than a dirty air conditioner.
