Why units load up here
A loaded evaporator, permanently damp, is a surface on which mould and bacteria grow, and the fan sends the particles into the room. In a practice that is a different order of problem from an office. On top of that comes the schedule: many practices run their units nine to ten hours a day, all year.
The recommended schedule
Two full sanitizings a year, spring and autumn, plus filter cleaning every three months. In dental practices, where aerosols from the procedures are present, we recommend three interventions a year for the units in the treatment room.
The specific risk
The specific risk: the unit in the treatment room, which draws in aerosols and fine particles from the procedures. The filters load three to four times faster than in an office, and the smell appears much sooner.
What you receive
Every visit ends with a signed intervention report per unit, with what was done and which solution was used. An equipment history is kept, with dates, and a schedule of the next interventions - exactly the format asked for at inspections.
